- Co-authored a paper on decentralized-finance lending platforms, where borrowers and lenders never need to trust each other: returns, leverage and liquidation risks.
- The paper reached 300,000+ views, 40+ news stories and blogs, 100+ reposts and two podcast invitations.
- Built a large-value payment system simulation with LLMs as strategic fund managers, and measured where advanced reasoning helps system efficiency and where it doesn’t.
Research Associate, York University, Toronto · 2024 – 2025
- Developed MALC, a bandwidth-free nonparametric density estimator for interval-grouped data (think “50 people earn $100k–$120k”), assuming only a shape constraint.
- Proved new convergence properties of the EM algorithm for log-concave distributions.
Research Fellow (Boursier), The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), Ankara · 2024
- Developed a two-phase Bayesian–frequentist model for longitudinal ordinal data, and showed that changes in breast density over 5–8 years of follow-up significantly affect cancer risk.
- Published in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio).
